If students change their major from an AA program to a
Cert/Diploma program late in their educational experience, the chances are
pretty high that they will have exceed the number credits required to graduate
by 150%. It may
help when advisors are meeting with students who are considering a major change
from AA to Cert/Diploma that they take a quick look at the number of credits a
student has attempted versus the number credits needed for the new major. Obviously, this change could affect a student's SAP status.
Here is way FA calculates 150 Per Suspension:
“Total number of credit required to complete major” x 150%= (X)
Here is way FA calculates 150 Per Suspension:
“Total number of credit required to complete major” x 150%= (X)
[Then look at the student’s file (SHATERM and SHACRSE)]
“Total Attempted Credits” – “Total number of Development Credits”= (Y)
If (Y) is greater than (X), the student will be on suspension.
