SAT Math Scores for Placement

The math department has moved to accepting recent (from within the last 5 years) SAT scores as a means of placement.
An SAT math score of 590 or above would be the equivalent of the student having successfully completed Math 051. As a result, the student with such an SAT score should be able register to take the following math courses without needing a placement exam score:
Math 100
Math 103
Math 104
Math 111
Math 113
Math 114
Math 161
Math 172
Math 202

Additionally, for courses in other departments that require math 051 as a prerequisite, the student with an SAT math score of 590 or greater should also be able to register for those courses.
